En inglés se utilizan estas tres expresiones temporales, con matices ligeramente diferentes.

"By the time" significa no más tarde de la hora señalada:

You have to be here by 6 o'clock - Tienes que estar aquí no más tarde de las 6 en punto
The train will arrive by 10.30 - El tren llegará no más tarde de las 10.30

"On time" significa exactamente a la hora señalada, ni antes, ni después:

The match begins at 4.30. I will be there on time - El partido empieza a las 4.30. Yo estaré allí puntual (llegaré a las 4.30, ni antes, ni después)
The bus leaves at 3.00. I will be there on time - El autobús sale a las 3.00. Yo estaré allí puntual (justo a las 3.00)

"In time" significa con tiempo suficiente:

The match begins at 4.30. I will be there in time - El partido empieza a las 4.30. Yo estaré allí con tiempo (llegaré antes de las 4.30)
The bus leaves at 3.00. I will be there in time - El autobús sale a las 3.00. Yo estaré allí con tiempo (antes de las 3.00)

El llegó justo a tiempo  He arrived just ........ time

Llegué con el tiempo justo para coger el tren  I arrived ........ time to get the train
Llegué con tiempo suficiente para coger el tren  I arrived ........ time to get the train
Antes de medianoche conoceremos la respuesta  ........ midnight we will know the answer
El niño llegó a clase justo a tiempo  The child arrived at the school ........ time
El trabajador llegó a la estación con tiempo suficiente  The worker arrived at the station ........ time
